FAITH AND VALOR

Though faith is spoken of and illustrated in every book of the Bible, and even counted as righteousness for the Old Testament saints, there is only one place in all of scripture where faith is defined.

The author of Hebrews explained, “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” What follows is a long list of faithful heroes from the pages of the Bible. “This is what the ancients were commended for,” the author went on to say.

Designed for a wide audience, from beginners to the seasoned believer, this two or three day retreat delves deep into the stories of great women of faith: Sarah, Martha, The Sinful Woman, Elizabeth, Puah, and Herodias.

An interactive workshop on Saturday explores what it means to live forgiven, and therefore freed and empowered to live by faith in every aspect of life. For the three day retreat, we will close with a time of worship, teaching, and prayer Sunday morning.

Bible studies and devotionals for each of the characters will provide further study for the weeks following this retreat.
